Loving God (3 goals)

Matthew 22:37-39 - “Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’  This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself’”.

 

Acts 2:41-47 - “They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer.  Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and miraculous signs were done by the apostles.  All The believers were together and had everything in common.  Selling their possessions and goods, they gave to anyone as he had need.  Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts.  They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people.  And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.”


Goal # 1:  Every member Loving God by Worshipping Weekly
Giving Honor and Glory to God in the Consistent Offering of our Praise, Adoration, and Prayers

Psalm 95:6 - “Come, let us bow down in worship, let us kneel before the Lord our maker; for He is our God.”


Goal # 2:  Every member Loving Others by Gathering in a Small Group
Connecting with others in Genuine Community through Committed Relationships

1 Thessalonians 2:8 - “We loved you so much that we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well, because you had become so dear to us.”


Goal # 3:  Every member Loving Others by Serving on a Ministry Team
Using the Gifts that God has given to us for the Building Up of the Church

1 Corinthians 12:7 - “Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good..”


Goal # 4: Every member Loving Others by Sharing Near and Far
Being a willing Witness of God’s Work in Our Community and throughout the World

Acts 1:8 - “…you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”


Goal # 5:  Every member Loving God by Maturing Measurably
Devoting ourselves to the Daily Study of God’s Word so that He can Continually Change us

Matthew 7:16-17 - “By their fruit you will recognize them… every good tree bears good fruit...”


Goal # 6:  Every member Loving God by Giving Generously
Using the Resources that God has Blessed us with in order to meet One Another’s Needs

1 Timothy 6:18 - “Command them... to be rich in good deeds and to be generous and willing to share.”
