Groups at the Riva Trace
Groups are integral to all that we do at Riva Trace. As our church grows larger on Sunday, we grow smaller during the week. Groups are a great way to meet new friends, grow in your relationship with God and make a difference. We encourage everyone to be involved in a Growth Group on a weekly basis and to participate and invite your friends to Play Groups that you are interested in.
Growth Groups - At Riva Trace, we believe that life is a team sport – best done together! So we want to encourage you to check out a Growth Group. It’s a great way to meet new people while growing in your faith. Currently our Spring semester is in session. If you're interested in starting a group right away or just want to check one out consider one of the following drop in groups:
- Wednesday: Book of James, meets at Riva Trace at 6:30pm. James challenges believers to test the quality and consistency of their faith. Join us as we discover James advice on overcoming temptation, controlling the tongue, praying effectively, and practicing what the Bible teaches. Children’s programming offered.
- Thursday: Book of Judges, meets at Riva Trace at 9:30am. Women's Group: In God's kingdom, we surrender to win. We need revival in our personal lives and in our nation. The book of Judges will magnify the work of God in the Israelites and will encourage you to surrender to His work in you. *Childcare available for fee.
- Sunday: Book of Acts, meets at Riva Trace at 9:15am. Sometimes our lives seem powerless. Not so for the people of the early church. Jesus transformed their lives - and they changed the world! Acts is the extraordinary record of what they did. Study Acts, and you will begin to understand what the Holy Spirit can do in you and in the world. *Children's programming available.
Play Groups - Most of us spend too much time working, studying and fighting the crowds - and not enough time playing. Whether it’s watching a movie, playing laser tag or going extreme bowling… Play Groups are an easy way to check out Riva Trace, meet new people, and just have a good time. Meetings are being planned now- check back soon for details!
