Purpose: To assist Growth Groups Leaders by maintaining an up-to-date central database of growth groups and their members.
Responsibilities: (1) Coordinate with Growth Groups Leaders and the Growth Groups Ministry Leadership Team to maintain awareness of changes to group membership; (2) Maintain a database of growth groups for use by the ministry and church leadership
Purpose: The Growth Groups Link Coordinator assists the Growth Groups Ministry Leaders in connecting members into the right small group to enable the growth of both the member and group.
Responsibilities: (1) Maintain awareness of all the active small groups meeting under the umbrella of the Riva Trace Growth Groups ministry; (2) Respond to new/candidate growth group members as they are identified by others or express interest in becoming members of a growth group; (3) Work with the Growth Groups ministry leader(s), Riva Trace pastoral staff, and individual growth group leaders to align new/candidate growth group members into available growth groups; (4) Follow up as necessary to ensure the proper fit of new/candidate members into appropriate growth groups.
Purpose: Growth Group Apprentice Leaders assist Growth Group Leaders in their efforts to facilitate the growth of a growth group of Christians into a community of believers devoted to God and one another in love, purpose and commitment through regular meetings to study God’s Word, pray and fellowship together.
Responsibilities: (1) Sense God's calling for you to help lead a growth group; (2) Help to establish a healthy group environment through initial training, assist in defining the purpose/objectives of your group, and helping to identify the locations, setting and times for meetings; (3) Assist the growth group leader in conducting regular meetings in a manner which encourages genuineness/authenticity and reinforces growth spiritually and relationally; (4) Assist the leader in shepherding the members of your group through Bible study, prayer, service and fellowship in a manner which cultivates devotion to one another and God; (5) Fill in for the leader when he/she is absent from a regular meeting; (6) Help expand and multiply the ministry by encouraging new members and preparing new leaders.
