Purpose: |
|
To teach life application of the Bible lesson and to build relationships and community with children in a small group environment. |
|
|
|
|
|
Qualifications: |
|
- Must worship weekly.
- Must be committed to maturing your walk with the Lord Jesus Christ.
- Must have a love and concern for kids and feel that God has called you to this specific ministry.
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must complete a children’s ministry volunteer application, screening process and agree to the volunteer covenant.
- Should possess ability to create an environment in which relationships can develop, have a desire and heart to connect with children on personal level, and facilitate their connection with one another. Possess a desire to help children develop spiritually, to become more Christ-like; model an authentic walk to the children.

Responsibilities: |
|
- Arrive on time and prepared each week; 8:30am.
- Make each lesson a matter of earnest prayer; pray with team prior to children’s arrival each week.
- Notify the leadership as soon as possible in case of absence or of replacement.
- Find a replacement and provide them with necessary curriculum if you will be unable to serve.
- Be in your classroom, prepared to greet the children by 8:30am.
- Help keep the children focused and participating in worship and large group.
- Notify the Children’s Director as soon as possible if you must miss and find your own replacement.
- Facilitate small group activities and pray with the children each week.
- Attend Ministry Leadership Team meetings and other special events.
- Adhere to and support all security policies in place.
- Be at group prayer time at 8:45.

Responsibilities In Preparation: |
|
- To spend adequate time in preparing your lesson so you can offer the kids the best learning opportunity possible. You have freedom to enhance the lessons with additional creative ideas and props.
- If you need supplies, please complete the supply request form one week prior to the date the supplies are needed. The supplies required to facilitate the lesson will be prepared by our administrative team for you each week.
- Pray for your kids. Coupled with good preparation, this will make your class the best it can possibly be.

Guidelines: |
|
- Please to not use tape, tacks or gum to adhere anything to the walls.
- Wear you photo name tag when in the Children’s Wing.
- Maintain the 2 person rule and always strive to have another adult present when there are children in the classroom.
- Only release a child to an adult with a matching numbered pager.
- Never leave the children alone.
- Leave your teaching area clean upon departure.
- Notify the leadership as soon as possible of problems or needs.
- Maintain open communication about anything relevant with the leadership.

Resources: |
|
- Curriculum will be provided for you.
- All of the supplies and papers needed to facilitate the lesson will be prepared and provided for you if you confirm with us by Wednesday at noon. We need to know if you are doing the activities that come with the curriculum or are doing something different.
- Each room is equipped with a stereo, television, DVD player and video player.
- Access to basic supplies and photo copier in teacher’s lounge, additional supplies can be requested using the “supply request sheet”.
