Serve Annapolis was envisioned in 2009 as a day of selfless ministry and service to the community by showing God’s love through unity of action. It is a day when churches in the Annapolis area unite as one Christ-centered church body and reach out in service to those less fortunate in our community.
Ministry projects ranged in scope and magnitude from the cleaning of a homebound person’s apartment by four volunteers to the refurbishment of the Chesapeake Children’s Museum by more than 250 people.
Other service projects include helping:
- Individual families
- Local schools
- Community centers and other organizations
- Parks
- And many more...

Just a few of the results from this day of service include:
- A serenity garden that emerged from dense woods,
- A foster care home which bloomed with spring cleanup and gardening, and
- A faith-based community storage building that was re-roofed.
- Teacher’s lounge at Edgewater Elementary was refurbished.
Interesting Facts over the years:
- 74 projects completed
- RTBC donated $22,700 in cash to the project.
- RTBC donated $14,000 in materials to Serve Annapolis projects.
- Approximately 850 people from Riva Trace worked on various projects.

It is our hope to give as we have received by fulfilling God’s call for the church to show the love of Jesus by serving our community on a grand scale.
